Newman Club

Mission Statement

The mission of Catholic Campus Ministry is to build a Christ-centered community among the students of Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam through worship, service, social activities, and zeal for the Gospel.

Newman Club meetings are generally conducted twice monthly on Friday evenings at 5:30PM. Check out the St. Mary's Church Campus Ministry Website for a complete calendar posting of meeting dates! Get-togethers begin with dinner at the St. Mary's Church with Father Giroux, which is followed by our business meeting. We then adjourn to hold worship and prayer time, and continue the evening with a variety of social activities and events. The possibilities are endless as to where the evening can take us!

Additional Info

The Newman Club is a community that involves students in "Faith-Fun-Friends"! We offer opportunities for Bible study, prayer and faith sharing groups, retreats, Penance services, as well as Advent and Lenten activities. We conduct community outreach activities such as Pumpkin Carving and Advent wreath making with children, Game Days with senior citizens, and distributing Thanksgiving and Easter baskets to those in need. The Newman Club also offers an Alternative Spring Break experience in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where students share their blessings with the less fortunate.

We invite you to join the Newman Club! Come "pray and play" with us!
