Scholarship Golf Classic

The 25th Annual SUNY Potsdam Scholarship Golf Classic was a soggy one. While golfing didn’t actually take place, the sponsors and participants who joined us at the Potsdam Town and Country Club enjoyed playing virtual golf, participating in prize drawings and eating a hearty grilled lunch.

The annual Silent Auction that normally takes place during the day has been postponed until October 25. The list of items will be posted with a link on this website, and anyone may place their bids. Final bidding can be made in person on October 25 at Dexter’s on the SUNY Potsdam Campus between 4 and 6 p.m.

Many thanks to our sponsors and supporters, who generously gave to the Scholarship Fund. We raised $90,000 this year. Special thanks to: Renzi Food Services, Casella Waste Services, J.E. Contracting Corp, Mach Architecture PC, SYSCO Food Services of Albany, Time Warner Cable Business Class, Usherwood Office Technology, Bicknell Corporation, Dow Electric, Foit-Albert Associates, North Country Savings Bank, Ricoh USA, S&L Electric Inc., TJ Toyota, Vicki Templeton-Cornell.

We also want to thank The Fox 101.5 for their sponsorship of this year’s Ball Drop Contest. The winner, determined by the drawing of tickets rather than splashing balls into a puddle, was Rebecca Wagner of Rochester. Her ticket was purchased from her daughter Erin, a scholarship recipient who wanted to help sell tickets to raise money for the Scholarship Fund.
